My fav thing to do against this deck is to cast reverberation on my opponents amalgam. “Dies if it takes damage” turns out to be considered an enchantment

So many ways to deal with one card that one is good. I've played this deck it either gets stolen, silenced, or even transformed by shamans lol It's a fun meme deck when it works though which in my experience is around 60%

You gotta play DK with Adaptive Amalgam and Deathgrowl + Thunderbringer. It shuffles itself into the deck and then takes itself back out. If you give it taunt via magnetic there is no way to go through the minion unless you have a silence or steal it.

It's easier to give the Thunderbringer the Amalgam's Deathrattle with 2x Deathgrowl than the other way around because it already has Taunt

@@520_metal It does, if you Deathgrowl the Amalgams deathrattle to it (or any minion for that matter). The "Keeps all enchantments" is part of the deathrattle, which means you could give this property to ANY minion with Deathgrowl. Infinite Reskas? Sure. Infinite Zilliax? Of course. There are probably several broken things you can do with it.

Here are my first 3 games with this deck - 1st: Lost to elemental mage (turn 4, 4 x 4/3 Overflow Surgers), 2nd: Lost to Priest (turn 2, Deafen my Amalgan), 3rd: Lost to Warlock (jailed my Amalgan by Sherrif Barrelbrim). So yeah. :)

Man I remember Immortal Prelate Undatakah Paladin being my favourite deck back in the day, can't believe they finally made a somewhat viable deck in this expansion.

This is the second best class I theorycrafted for this going into perils, I think Handbuff DK has a PERFECT minion to steal this deathrattle (better than Reska), the 3/2 taunt that duplicates itself using 5 corpses is a permanent menace that is naturally extra hard to remove because it repeatedly creates more and more copies of itself every time it hits the field while saving all stat buffs you give it. I thought DK had the most potential with amalgam by death growling that onto both copies of the 3/2. It also gets around a LOT of the most common ways to beat amalgam. yogg is a lot less scary when you have 3-4 copies of your amalgam in your deck and everytime you play a copy it shuffles 2 back in

@@sherrjo you steal the deathrattle with shambling zombie-tank (this makes 2 copies) -> drop amalgam in middle -> death growl it. The zombie-tanks are now infinite and harder to deal with than your average amalgam with taunt baseline and self-duplication.

One really cool tip someone gave me with Adaptive Amalgam is using one of the base variation and one of the golden or signature if you have it so you can tell the difference between them. This is most useful if they have buffs that don't give stats like Silk Stitching from death knight.

First deck I tried in the expansion. Had to drop it after the infinite unkilliaxs meta exploded. But defenitely gonna play it again after zilliax gets nerffed (again) 'cause is tones of fun.

the divine shield vs excess damage interaction was usual in pally vs secret mage: excess damage acts as if divine shield wasn't there, in this case, dealing 1 less damage because it would've been a 1 health sillyax

I don’t understand how this deck is viable with all the cards that just straight up steal. Or the priest and warlock titans would remove this. I enjoy the gameplay but there’s no way this is more than a meme deck.
