if you have the problem that the text moves with the crop: You can move the crop up and down so set keyframes for that and then speed ramp it

Use the "Transform" that is under "Appearance" in the Effects Controls Window. Don't use the "Motion" position key frames.

It is in your Effects Control panel when you select a clip. Scroll down it is like half way down. You should have the same transform options (position, rotation, etc) in that section.

The issue I had was that I was cropping the text box, and not the actual text. in the effects control panel, close the accordian dropdowns other than the actual TEXT, that fixed mine :)

I did the cropping part, but now whenever I move the text it still appears the same. I tried cropping too much to cover part of the text and when I move the text the cropping effect just follows wherever I move the text. what am I doing wrong?

You need to move the text through the Transform effect not Motion. His text already has the Transform effect because he created it in Premiere but if you take an image/text from outside Premiere it won't automatically have Transform effect on. Search through effects for Transform and put it on your text/image and animate it through there. Make sure the Crop effect is below the Transform effect and it should work. Good luck!

I have a big probem and that is My Photos arent fit to the screen , they are cant be seen full fitted. i mean i have black bars on the side of photos, and the photo itself isnt even fit, its not a wide screen photo. its lengthwise and its cropped from the bottom and top in the adobe premiere and it aslo has black bars around.. Heres how you solve the Text that keeps following with crop, because you need a transform search it on (effect) and put it on your Effect Editing (idk what its called) And Then Make Your Crop a size of the Text and if you used Motion, It will not work, (so use the Transform not Motion) I Hope i helped you out guys for beginners or pro Text Animators!
