ROUND PET BED KNIT STITCH (Oval rug) Cast on 8 knit two rows (use a different color for the two rows so it will look like a flower) and close up Row 1 Knit one regular row Row 2 On the next row increase in between every stitch Row 3 Next row just knit every stitch no increasing Row 4 Next row increase in between every other stitch Row 5&6 Knit thru two rows Row 7 Next row increase every three stitches Row 8 &9 Knit thru two rows (if you have a small pet then you want to stop here. So make row 9 big stitches to cast off) If you have a larger pet add this; Row 10 increase every two stitches Row 11 and 12 knit through on row 12 make big stitches for casting off. That makes it 24 inches For pet bed cast off a little tight so it rolls up then you can just continue with your single crochet stitch and build the wall around it. But if you're doing an oval rug do your cast off stitches lose so it won't curl up
