Mary!! I really want to be a respiratory therapist when I grow up (I'm 16 now) and I recently job shadowed a respiratory therapist at my local hospital, but there were no CF patients. Watching your guy's channel has made me even more interested in becoming a respiratory therapist. You're awesome and I'm really proud of you. And you're a champ!!!!

Here's a great prank my son pulled. He had to have an appendectomy. His meals had to be gluten free due to a wheat allergy so he got some interesting meals. The last one of his stay came right as we were getting ready to leave. He was so hungry he asked if he could take it with him. They didn't have any "to go" containers up on our floor and he didn't want to wait for them to go to the cafeteria so he just wrapped the taco and burrito in paper towels. But then he wanted to take his re-fried beans with him as well. So one of the nurses brought him a "bio hazard" bag and we put the beans in there and as they wheeled him out of the room, J was eating the beans out of the bag with a plastic spoon. We got some seriously funny looks from the nurses, and the ones from our station were having a good ole laugh!

Just saw some other videos about this blizzard. There was an unprecedented travel ban for both private and public transportation! I thought of you guys because there were medical staff from the hospital featured on news clips about the storm. Nurses who were transported to the hospital by police car and a couple of doctors who skied to work! That is impressive!

One question why do your nurses and everyone that works at the hospital wear isolation gowns but not peter and visitors? PS I what to be come a cna (certified nurses assistant) when I get older so just had a question Thank you

Emily Peters The gowns and gloves are to prevent the risk of spreading bacteria from me to other patients, and from the other patients to me :) It is for anyone coming in and out of other patients rooms (That's why Peter does't have to gown up, because he only comes to my room). Great question!

I loved Boston when I visited a couple of summers ago it's a beautiful city, I live in England a hour away from London in a city called Brighton which is a beautiful small city by the seaside! I visited Scotland with my mum and we went to Edinburgh it's was beautiful it was such an amazing trip!

I recently watched a video/ news story about this storm and the extraordinary means that police, fire, and medical personnel took to make sure Boston was taken care of. one story that stands out in my mind is a couple of doctors from this hospital skiing from their homes to the hospital.

i remember this blizzard! the first of like 5, i loved it the rest of the state like unanimously hated it hahah. Its funny because in 2015 i was a senior in college in Boston and i lived right there. I lived right behind the Stop and shop at the Brigham and Woman's t stop. We were neighbors haha. I had to walk from there to the common every day for like 2 weeks to get to class during all of that snow because the T basically died haha. I didnt realize Children's was connected to B&M

Heres a great prank to pull on the nurses. When you have to give a urine sample you’ll need 2 bottles. One for the urine and one for apple juice. Have the apple juice bottle on your table and when the nurse comes in to get your urine sample, you pretend to feel lousy and think that your sugars have dropped,then grab the apple juice bottle off of the table and drink it. The nurse will be dumbfounded. Especially if you say that the apple juice bottle was so good. The nurse may try to take the bottle from you so you can’t put too much in it because you need to down it in one gulp. If you do this, I hope that you will film it. If so then I will be screaming and laughing my butt off.

I have lung disease too but im much older. you are so young! its great too though to show how you take lung disease by its mean and ugly horns and wrestle it to the ground and keep it there for as long as one can then to get around that curve ball into the next.
