Oh my god, I used to work at Trader Joe's, and this is the best thing I've ever seen. Apart from some crazy, cultish crew members, everyone HATES having to go on register and put on that fake, engaging act... next time you're at the checkout hating the person ringing you up, take comfort in the knowledge that we hate you too. But not as much as we hate ourselves for the grinning drivel we're forced to spew. lol.

I like how the camera is angled upward during the flashbacks to the Trader Joe's cashier, even though Gayle probably would have been at least eye-level if not taller, to (I assume) emphasize how traumatically oppressive the whole experience was 😆.

I was once at Trader Joe's and when the cashier asked what I was doing today, and I said I was washing my ferret for some reason (I do not own a ferret and never have) and then there was an extremely awkward conversation about my fake ferret who I named Bob. It's been about 5 years since i found my Trader Joe's support group. The PTSD has calmed down. But i still struggled with anxiety. One week ago, they were playing "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, the employee asked me if i was making guacamole, and--they found out it was my birthday. I was left in shambles until I realized that some people from the New D in my part of town would be at my house in about 18 hours and 34.56 minutes, and my roast wasn't in the oven. Well, I needed my roast to be tender and cooked to perfection, so i used my legs and karate chopped those Trader Joe's employees. I ended up with an ankle bracelet but my roast was cooked to tender perfection. I mean, it was more tender than a baby's foot on a warm summer day in Cape Cod

Gayle got that pantsuit from an 80s miami businessman’s corpse. And it looks amazing on her.

I love Dave's character, you never see his face but he is always watching out for Gayle. Reminding her that she should not have gone to Trader Joes's, she knew better. I literally love this comedy. Makes me laugh more than any other!

If I'm not mistaken, I heard the lyrics "I've got a mini-fridge, you've got a small dick" being sung earnestly during that Trader Joe's Support Group montage. If I am mistaken, that's unfortunate but I'm gonna headcannon that anyway.
