Thats not true i suggest you listen to songs from KK, Shaan, Kumar Sanu, Udit or Abhijeet. They could play with, dynamics, pitch & modulation in ways that todays singers simply can not. The hard trow of the voice was sometimes necessary but was not implemented in every song of theirs. Listen to Raja ko rani from Udit and Sanu. Or kuch na kaho by Sanu or Do dil mil rahein hai. Or chaha hai tujhko by udit. Humko humise churalo. Dil kya kare (reprise by Sanu) the lost goes on. ;)
