Hate to tell you, this was a movie for females. I’ll give you some insight from a high value man’s perspective. Did Keith mess up being at the club dancing when he said he was working late? Absolutely!!!!!! That’s the thesis of it. He didn’t cheat, but he gave the illusion he COULD. That’s on him! Now, given the fact he was wrong, he did something women DONT do. He took accountability. He admitted his wrong doing, apologized, and gave a clear explanation. Shauntae (Vivica) then wanted to employ her games. So, she broke up with him, which is actually perfectly fine. She had a standard she wanted upheld, and made that decision. BUT, she should have stuck with that instead of the games. If you’re done with someone, be done. This brings me to my high value man point. At the point she broke up with him, a high value man would have respected her decision, and been done with it. We can love a woman to death, but are decision based type of men. That’s how we get to where we are. There isn’t a lot of back and forth with this type of man. That dinner, he explained l, she decided, it would have been done at that exact moment. No calls or anything. Especially, at the party where she was with the white man, and he was with Connie Spaulding (Gabrielle Union). A high value man WOULD NOT have stop Shauntae or even entertained what she was doing. In fact, a high value man wouldn’t have even gone knowing what it would look like showing up with Connie Spaulding. In fact, a high value man wouldn’t have entertained Connie Spaulding in the first place because of the type of woman she is! This movie was for the type of man who loves you, BUT the man should have been a pookie, not a high value man. These were pookie games. I’ve been married for 25 years THIS year. Besides our kids, my wife is Priority number one!! If she were to play games like that with me, she wouldn’t have a choice but to make a decision. I wouldn’t allow games to be played. First off, I wouldn’t put myself in that positions, BUT, let’s say I was out with the homies and she walked in and saw me talking to a female at that moment and went Shauntae on me because of how it looked, and she didn’t accept my explanation and played games, we would be divorced, and I would still love the hell out of her!

Agreed. I get who this movie is made for and why, but the message is pretty dysfunctional. But I suppose it's up to whatever a guy decides to accept in real life. Whores go to church because it increases their chances of appearing "wife-like". This is done to increase the woman's likelihood of securing a financially attractive and status respected man (within the church community), willing to overlook their past indescretions without having to genuinely give anything away (genuine desires for the streets). Reformed women also go to church too (Ex-Whores), but they (in my opinion) are rarer, and would think much less of themselves as wife candidates given their non-virginal/non-widowed/non-biblically-divorced state and be much more grateful if selected - but given the lack of consequence if a women divorces (in the West at least) there is no harm of keeping up for appearance sake until she is bored of what the man can provide!
