Church Bells in historic Old Town Chur, Switzerland 1999

Chur is the oldest town in Switzerland, it was settled 5,000 years ago! The historic Old Town is car-free and is one of the best preserved old towns in Switzerland. The oldest church in Chur is 800 years old. In 1999, I visited Switzerland, and we happened to stop at Chur on a Sunday morning. How thrilling it was to hear the bells of the Old Town suddenly come alive all around us! The sound reverberated throughout the town and mountains-and down to my bones!
