@Reformed Christian Teaching Ok....this might sound silly, but have you been to Heaven? Have you died, been to Heaven, and came back to say what really happens after death?
@les47675 жыл бұрын
@Reformed Christian Teaching The point is, you don't really know, do you? Sure, you believe it. Sure, you have your faith. But until you actually die, you don't really know what will or won't happen, as there's no empirical proof one way or the other. My point is, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, etc have just as much a chance of being right about an afterlife as you do. Their faith is just as strong as yours. Their beliefs are just as strong as yours, but in the final analysis, nobody really knows what's going to happen as a matter of fact. It's impossible to know that, so may I respectfully recommend you don't try and tell any one else what has to happen or not happen for anyone to get to Heaven if it even really exists?
@les47675 жыл бұрын
@Reformed Christian Teaching Except, what if Jesus wasn't The Messiah, like the Pharisees claimed, and the Jews actually have it right instead of the Christians? OR What if the whole Messiah thing was just a really good made up story and neither the Jews or the Christians have it right? There is no empirical evidence that any "miracle" written in the Bible ever actually occurred. You have to take it on faith to believe it. Every thing you wrote in your last comment takes faith to believe. None of it can be proven(hence why it's called faith-belief in the unprovable). So, again, may I respectfully suggest you don't claim to know what's going to happen and what one has to do or not do to make it happen a certain way. If you want to tell people what you BELIEVE will happen...you're perfectly right to do so. But until any of it can be measured, recorded and studied through legitimate scientific methodology, you don't really know what you're claiming to know. You believe it through faith. That's the distinction I'm trying to get you to understand.

Phil Hartman wasn't just funny. He was actually the best actor they ever had in the cast. Could have been a successful straight actor, had he lived

I'm tired of holy rollers. There is a church across from me and the have a restaurant inside, I ordered a hamburger with jalapenos. They refused to serve me. When I asked why they said hot peppers are the work of the devil. I said that was crazy. And the lady said I was playing with fire, and that Satan was following me around. She told me to get out at not come back. What a day that was.

If SNL wants to fix what is wrong with the show right now, they need to look to bits like this to figure out what went right.

Pretty sure SNL is doing just fine with all the endless comedic gold the Trump administration is providing to the comedy world. These skits were just as funny then as all the current political jokes they make, are today.

Nah, this type of humor is bland and doesn't work anymore.

@@eyesonwashington1 the Trump skits were good for a bit but they're getting tiresome. The other comedy on the show now is either depressing or juvenile, too, with a few exceptions. But for the most part, I'm not sure if it's the writing or the delivery but skits these days are lucky to get a good, hearty laugh out of me anymore. That's just in my case, though; you can have a whole other experience from me
