Julie you hit the jackpot! So many good things! The small crescent shaped dishes that were taped together are bone dishes. Likely went with a set of china. The vintage appetizer skewers and caddy sell for a lot sometimes. Love the cardinal cross stitch.

That is so amazing. Only been to a few church sales and nothing like that. We only have a tiny thrift in town. I didnt know this area has no way to even find out things! Not even when the fires come. We retired to where we camp and fished. People just use the buy sell trade groups in each town. People here use that for everything but if not on facebook I guess they just put up signs. None of the other selling sites track here. Not craigslist or offer up or anything but the descendant people all seem to hoard for 100 years. I sometimes want to knock on doors just seeing the junk in the front yard! Ive thought of doing my own looking for ad .But you've inspired me to go on over to our thrift today.

They sat in front of your plate when eating chicken to place your bones in. I have my Great Grandmothers. Definitely from late 1800’s, early 1900’s. You’re right fantastic garage/yard sale!!!

That set of dishes you thought went in a circle, was actually a set of bone dishes. One was placed at the top edge of the dinner plate, usually of the same pattern, to use for dinners when fish or meats with bones was served.

Oh gosh! What a great sale! Church yard sales are usually very good. I love the counted cross stitch cardinal piece. I have a very weak place for counted cross stitch. I find it in my area at yard sales for amazingingly cheap prices. And, I just can't leave them behind. So, I have a healthy collection of it.

I got a great idea from a friend a cot (small ) sheet with reserved written on it . She just throws it over her pile . Works every time 😉
