These guys put on a live show that can't be matched. Seriously one of the best shows you'll ever see. This lineup is definitely one of the best ones.Saw them twice at The Middle East and each time blew me away, just wish they would play more of the older stuff like Road to Ruin, Spahn Ranch, and Reverend

It may come with mixed reaction, but church of misery, to me, edges out eyehategod as the best/sickest sludge band ever! And that's saying alot cuz they both refer legend to me

I totaly agree. They go furher in my opinion though, to me, Church Of Miesry is my favorite in the entire stoner/sludge/doom genre(s). They have these stupid heavy doomy but well crafted riffs, with really good 70s licks/solos. Amazingly groovy rythym section, just listen to Cranley Gardens. Also very good tone on bass and guitar. And very raw and harsh vocals. Very good mix on all their album, even though all of them are different, (Early Works Compilation is my favorite). And the fucking cherry on top, lyrics about serial killers! It's just my opinion but they are my favorites!

It's hard to keep an eye on the show dates for these guys man. I remember last year the only reason I knew they were here in the states was because they were playing that psycho las Vegas festival and were also going to play one night in San Diego California which I drove 4 hours by myself to see them still one of the most memorable shows I've seen was right front and center.
