CHURCH SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY [10 Rules]

Could I humbly suggest another rule that our Church lives by a lot: "Don't write a cheque you can't cash". We see a lot of churches around us using their social media to make themselves look like the local larger churches rather than proudly showing their authentic self. Based of your principle from a while ago where you would be annoyed if your menu didn't match what turned up, we think a lot of the reason new people stay at our church is that they know what they're getting when they decide to come. Would be interested on your thoughts.

That's a great addition. The word we always use is "congruency." Online should reflect offline.

There's some great stuff here. I believe this video is absolutely necessary to help teach our churches. What would you suggest for the church that's smaller and running between 400 and 500 in a more rural setting? God has been doing great things and our church is growing. But social media is a weakness for us. We post and promote, but we don't have a dedicated person for our social media. Asking as the youth pastor who makes videos but sucks at social media for the church.
