The Atem Micro Panel would complement that setup, a lot.

What are the dimensions of the church (length.width.heigth.)... good job

If you’re asking to know how much cable they needed always use more than what you measure. If you want to know how many cams to use for a specific size I’d say 2-3 cameras is a good medium place. You can do 2 on sticks (tripod) and one mobile to get flexibility during worship. With an atem switcher, cameras or anything else the size of the sanctuary doesn’t matter. Just ensure you have enough cable (if using SDI) to reach each end point.

Actually the studio 6k is a bit better as it accepts EF mount. What we ended up doing is upgrading our ATEM mini to an HD8 switcher which allowed us to control our studio 6k over SDI / Ethernet. To better manage everything we use a 40x40 which the switcher goes to, all cameras and pro presenter goes to and allows us to control everything while broadcasting. All of which feeds into a Resi box that hasn’t given us issues. Benefit of any of the studio cameras is that when you record externally to SSD’s you have better control of grading later. Lastly, recording internally in the ATEM give you an iso recording with a DRP file (davinci resolve project) which as soon as you open it you can go in the live event and make adjustments like where a camera cut occurred or fades, or anything and make the process of sermon extraction much easier and quicker

You can actually use EF lenses on the 4K models with the Metabones Speedboosters. They are fully supported.

@ true but an added cost. Did was crucial to control cams remotely. Just an added bonus that it’s ef mount

exactly my question because typically, like b4, you would have module stuck on the lens or like follow focus motor on the zoom

The only camera that needed remote camera control of course is connected via HDMI
@EmeraldAudiovisual2 ай бұрын
HDMI is only for setup, as the menus are enabled on HDMI by default. All of them can be remote controlled over SDI or HDMI from the Atem.

Black magic webpresenter 4k cannot stream in 4k through restream as KZbin’s api doesn’t allow 4k streaming. Only works directly through KZbin.

$18k - budget???? Wow...

When it comes to broadcast, it gets expensive really quick. One has to find the balance. SDI is the standard for broadcast but at the same time jacks up the price. SDI allows for time code. Start with an atem mini and smaller or used black magic cams (even if it’s only hdmi) Caleb from ‘DSLR video shooter’ has many mobile broadcast ideas that fit into a pelican case which you can use to make something fitting your needs.

At my church we bought equipment over time. But now we have 2 studio 6k cams, atem hd8, 40x40 which makes it easier for us to control our equipment from the main control room. With any ATEM switcher you can use any camera which I’ve seen others use like here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYvTlKmnhLV0gdE hope this helps

@@garretreed9709 Perhaps it's different in the US, but in the UK most churches don't have lots of cash to splash around on hardware. We stream from an ATEM Mini Pro, with a single Studio 4K - but that took me 2 years to get approval to purchase the camera. Previously we used my personal 4K camcorder into the ATEM. Obviously some churches do have more cash available, but £18k is probably coming on 7-10 years of budget for the majority of smaller churches.

Absolutely terrible lens options for these cameras. Your aperture changes as you zoom in and out unless you set it so high that it won’t change.
@lukejackson11163 ай бұрын
Are you volunteering to manufacture some better lenses? I’d love more options for these cameras in that price range. That’d be awesome!

These lens work perfect for small to mid size churches. You don’t have to run an expensive canon lens to get the job done. It looks fine.

Not a budget upgrade. 😂
@churchfrontmatt3 ай бұрын
That depends totally on your definition of budget. 3 cameras with lenses for 18k is VERY budget friendly for some. I've been at churches that had 40k in cameras and I'm at one now that has about 6k in cameras they bought 4 years ago. It's all relative.

Then go buy some cheap PTZ cameras and complain about the picture quality.
@garretreed97093 ай бұрын
When it comes to broadcast it gets pricey real quick. But cost is justified. Cams can be pricey but bulk is in accessories like ATEM, 40x40 etc. I know of a church in San Diego which has c300’s and streams don’t look that good and another using black magic and have better quality video. So depends. More money doesn’t mean better result but YES, what they spent isn’t too bad in price for what they got. Online experience will be so much better and enjoyable
