I am watching this for a second time and still I am learning anew. We continue to have a handful of great teachers, though all are not labelled by their professions as teachers. More of us need to avail ourselves of their teaching before they are no longer with us. Thank God we are still free to listen to, read of and learn from what these excellent men and women provide.

Every day his radio show has something new, clearer, more exact, more penetrating, and obvious. Without Mark, the Great One, we might have already been fated to the socialistic march to dullness and deadness. Mark will go down in history.

I think President John F Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" This is being penny wise and not pound foolish like this current admin.-a costly mistake.

I don't know why Levin doesn't run for office again. He's been in the government before so he knows what it's like, and his message is one, like it or not, you really can't disagree with. You might not like his tone, you might be upset by his blunt honesty, but very little of what he says is debatable. People need to wake up and listen to this man, because he knows how to combat the statist menace.

i think Levin is more effective on the radio reaching ~7 million people daily, teaching and inspiring conservatives that need to run for office in 2010.

Anybody know where I could get a transcript of this? It's rather pithy, so I'd like to read and underline rather than listen. :)

DarcPrynce, I believe your are more right than you know, and tonytep seems to be the ubiquitous left leaning liberal, possible socialist, troll that can't, or doesn't want to think for himself. tonyteb seems to be unable to grasp that our founders wanted the PEOPLE to be in control of this new form of government. Hence Lincolns quote "of the people, by the people, and for the people". A government run by the people (through representatives), to make the decisions needed to ensure the security of the vast majority of the people of America. A politician should not go to Washington to become rich. Sadly most of them these days think they are entitled to accept moneys from PACs or lobbyists to ensure they vote a certain way. This is criminal. And if you think that all conservatives love war, they are the ones who hate it. They just happen to be the ones who have studied war and human nature to some degree and know that where ever there is a peaceful nation wanting to be left alone to work, plant, sell their products, etc, there always seems to be someone who wants to take it away for themselves or to give to others and to do this by force or cohercion. And SOMEONE has to be willing to stand up and tell the takers they can't have it.

Mark seems to be making some great points and then going too far with them. Back in the day, William F. Buckley conducted very enlightening debates between three conservatives and three liberals on PBS. They were a feast of ideas presented in good humor and a sense of "fraterneti." The contrast and jousting of ideas is a better format than one person pontificating. The exchanges were CIVIL and without name-calling and demonizing.
