Oh! I was in Hazel Green just months before that! And MISSED IT! I absolutely love this song, and this is one of the best renditions I've everr heard. Charles, I love your rendition of one of my favorites. Quite frankly, I don't think I've ever heard a "country" rendition of this. Was there an album made of the famous choir in Brooklyn choir you sang with. Was it Brooklyn Tabernacle by any chance?

Not bad - I first heard this in 1959, sung by Tony Fontaine, Phil Kerr on piano. Charles could have included the 2nd verse instead of talking for 1:25.
