So just curious if Churchtrac has the option where the tithing individual is allowed to pay the fees-so that the church gets the full tithe? and giver pays the fee.

Hi @cindymcleod5466! Absolutely! Donors can opt to cover the transaction fee by adding a nominal amount to their original donation.

I tried to put zelle to link with my bank and they said that the business accounts do not support zelle to work wtih the business. Does this mean that they changed or that the zelle accounts in the churches are going directly to a personal account? Or worse that my bank just doesn't do this for me?

You would need to ask your bank for more clarification. It's possible that your bank simply doesn't work with Zelle. My church has a Zelle account and the money goes directly to the church's bank account, NOT a personal account. -Matt

My bank told me the same thing that Zelle will not work with a business account the question is is your church to set up as a business account. A CHURCH should be set up as a nonprofit business account. In most cases Zelle will not work.

How secure are the online giving platforms?

Most online giving platforms employ the highest security standards possible to protect their users. Otherwise, no one would use them! However, some issues are worth noting. For instance, Zelle users aren't protected against fraud in ways that banks are required to protect their members. Ultimately, it's up to users to research risks and vulnerabilities of any platform they use.
