Churnet Valley Steam Gala 2024 Part 2

Over the weekend of 4-6th May 2024 the Churnet Valley Railway held its first Steam Gala since 2020. Resident USA Transportation Corps S160 class locos 5197 and 6046 were joined by visiting locos BR Standard 4 75014 "Braveheart" from the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway and GWR 4079 "Pendennis Castle" from the Didcot Railway Centre. As well as a 4 coach local train along the Churnet Valley between Froghall and Leek Brook Junction, a 7 coach train made the climb up the 1 in 45 and 1 in 60 gradients to the Staffordshire Moorlands at Ipstones summit.
Part 2 filmed on 4 May includes departures from Froghall by 75014, the two S160s double-headed and finally 4079. Also scenes at Consall where trains crossed.
