hehe the story goes that apparently, dazai’s laugh wasn’t animated because miyano mamoru (dazai’s JP VA) forgot to laugh during one of the takes, so kishou taniyama (chuuya’s JP VA) riffed off it with the “you should be laughing!” part and they left it as is and used that take (kishou is… quite the comedian, he’s pretty witty) 😭 uhh the story becomes rather unclear following this because some people say it wasn’t re-recorded die to time constraints/mamo’s schedule but i’m yet to find the actual source of where this was discussed so take this with a grain of salt !!! 🥲

should also add that often when voice acting is recorded for anime, the actual animation usually isn’t finished/the final polished product that we see so the animators have time to adjust to speaking etc so it looks like that was the case here!

Wouldn't that kind of void the terms of the bet? Furthermore, it's not like there's anyone or anything that will punish him if he DOESN'T do what Dazai tells him to?
