CHVRCHES - Call It Off (original's tempo: 67% faster)

(note that i don't actually know what i'm doing)
felt like playing with this after seeing comments on the cover's video about "too slow." (I think the cover's slow tempo is fine and didn't care for this any faster than +20%)
to match the original song I ended up increasing tempo by 67% . had to EQ out a couple dB bass below around 150hz so the chorus parts didn't become a wall of sound.

how did you warp this? it's almost like you dropped it into ableton and let it auto-detect slices and did nothing else with it, it's all warped completely wrong and feels stuttered and strange.

(i should note that i don't actually know what i'm doing lol) only adjusted the tempo with audacity until the vocals matched (tried a percentage tempo increase, checked it, undo the change, try a little more/less, etc) nothing else besides having to remove a bit from the sub-bass
