It's pleasing how Lauren looks as delicate as her voice and the musical arrangement sounds, and the soft colors look. The haze in the video makes it seem surreal, as if she were in her internal place of safety and comfort, close to completely healing her emotional wounds. She looks vulnerable in a beautiful way. Coming to peace with herself, accepting things for what they were and preparing to finally close the chapter of a broken romance. That's what I visualize due to her tranquility during the storm that seems to cease as she softly dances in the water... and that guy behind the fog, it shows how distant he is from her, since she is leaving him behind. Barely visible within her.

Marc Rodrigues, is this your first listen to Chvrches? I got into them when their third album, Love is Dead, dropped and they're easily one of my new favorite bands. Death Stranding, Dead Air, and Warning Call are some of my favorite tracks of theirs that aren't on any of their albums. Also they just released a new song yesterday titled He Said, She said. Her “a” sound is so relaxing compared to where I’m from. In Ohio all the old people say their “a” sound as twangy as possible like instead of “cat” it’s “kyeeat”, whereas Lauren would say something along the lines of “caht” and “cot” So soothing for someone who grew up around all the twang, her accent is lovely. Chvrches wouldn’t be the same without her accent
