To buy jewels, Bombay has the #1 best rate and Madras in #2 in the entire world. (no wonder why Bangalore ppl come to Madras for wedding Jewelry shopping) I've bought jewels in other countries- Dubai and in the US. When it comes to Gold jewelry, nothing can beat rates in India. If you want to buy 24K bars, then u may buy in the US or SG (Dubai rate is high).. but would get caught by customs :(
