Cutting Guide:
2 pieces medium weight chipboard cut to 8.5 X 8.5 inches.
1 piece medium weight chipboard cut to 8.5 X 2.5 inches
6 pieces black cardstock (65 or 80 lb) cut to 8 X 8.5 inches
Hinge:
65 lb black cardstock cut to 7 & 15/16ths X 10 inches

Hi there! Is the black construction tape you used also called a masking tape?

Sorry about the delay in my answer.. It is a special type of tape (feels like crepe paper) that is acid free and doesn't dry out like regular masking tape. I use it only on my paper crafts and I use it all the time.
