Well, yes, it would be good for that to happen, but there are also many people who do not like changes and just for a small change that can be insignificant, many people will complain in a worse way than a small child who cries because they do not give them their favorite food. or they don't buy him a toy

Not to mention on a shoestring budget. This film cost 35 million to make. In contrast, the Disney remake cost 150 million and adjusted for inflation, the 1940 original cost 55 million. And while it may not be fair to compare a modern movie to one that's 82 years old, but the Del Toro movie blows it out of the water.

I’m usually not the type of person to get emotional with a movie to the point of crying, and I don’t know how but all of a sudden at the end of the movie I found myself not crying, but weeping. The movie triggered memories of my dad who passed away a little over 2 years ago, before I turned 18, and when it happened he was away from home, in a different city. I’m not really good with grief and at that time I couldn’t really process the fact that I would no longer have him around, I really loved him, but I feel like at that time I was ignoring what happened. The relationship between Pinocchio and Gepetto in this movie was so moving, I couldn’t avoid to mourn for my dad, it took me this long to really free my feelings and let it all out. I’m incredibly grateful to Guillermo del Toro and to all the wonderful people who made this version of Pinocchio possible, amazing voice acting and cinematography, Thank u Mexico as well for producing such talented directors.

I absolutely loved this Pinocchio. Guillermo Del Toro borrowed elements from Disney’s classic animated Pinocchio and the original story it was based on, and remade it all in stop motion. This is the truest height of animation and even Disney and DreamWorks cannot top it. Animation was treated badly, but Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio changed all of that. Like Into the Spider-Verse, the Academy Award-winning animated marvel that changed animation for the better, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio proved that animation was cinema; it's not just a genre meant for adults and kids, it was a medium for all audiences. We were wrong to doubt animation, it is truly cinematic. This stop motion version gives much more heart to Pinocchio than Disney’s soulless cash-grab, and seeing him grow and develop in this movie makes him the best version of Pinocchio since the classic Disney version and the Shrek version. I hope we get to see more marvelous animated movies and series in the near future ahead of us.

Lyrics: Ciao Papa, Mio papa, Time has come To say farewell For how long will i go? is it far? No one knows No one can tell If i am gone for a long long time I’ll pack away a fine peace of shine The sound of birds chirping with bells Drawings of plumbs, two bags of shells The smell of bread, a drop of wine Your memory, father of mine farewell, my papa Ciao Papa, Mio papa, Time has come To say farewell I am ready to go, going far Now i know it will be swell I shall be gone for a long long time Shall be picking, many peaks to climb May be i’ll see a camel cry Dangerous pirates with a black eye Rain or shine i’ll keep in mind your memory father of mine farewell, my papa

Y,know when I watched this movie, I wasn't expecting much. Another Pinocchio movie is what I thought at first, but as I watched it, it was a beautiful story of passion unfolding before me. Im not sure what, but something in me resonated while watching it, it made me feel sad, remorseful, all of those things. But when I heard this song, I had to pause it and compose myself. Many years ago, I lost my grandfather on my fathers side. I never knew him that much, but when I did, he was not very memorable. And as it happened, my father grew away from the whole family, it felt like a wall had grown between us. And soon.. He was gone too. When I heard this I just had all of that come back to me, and I now I just wish the last thing I could have said to him was... Farewell my papa...

What a beautiful, sweet, magical song! We all are beginners in some way, wide-eyed and certain of nothing, but willing to be surprised. Marshall Vian Summers writes about being a beginning student of Knowledge. Here is an excerpt. "You are a beginning student of Knowledge... Be happy that this is so, for beginning students are in a position to learn all things and need not defend their accomplishments. We do not belittle your accomplishments but instead wish to shine the light of truth upon the greatness that waits to be discovered within you, a greatness that will give you true equality in life and in time will reveal what you have come here specifically to do.... You are a beginning student of Knowledge and thus can learn all things." (Steps to Knowledge, MVS)

This was a surprisingly touching and mature retelling of "Pinocchio" but as a mother, I began sobbing near the end when the father was breaking down, telling Pinocchio he didn't want him to be like his other son...he loved him for who HE was, not for who he thought he wanted him to be. I just felt sobs being wrenched from my heart.
