I’m usually not the type of person to get emotional with a movie to the point of crying, and I don’t know how but all of a sudden at the end of the movie I found myself not crying, but weeping. The movie triggered memories of my dad who passed away a little over 2 years ago, before I turned 18, and when it happened he was away from home, in a different city. I’m not really good with grief and at that time I couldn’t really process the fact that I would no longer have him around, I really loved him, but I feel like at that time I was ignoring what happened. The relationship between Pinocchio and Gepetto in this movie was so moving, I couldn’t avoid to mourn for my dad, it took me this long to really free my feelings and let it all out. I’m incredibly grateful to Guillermo del Toro and to all the wonderful people who made this version of Pinocchio possible, amazing voice acting and cinematography, Thank u Mexico as well for producing such talented directors.

I absolute love this movie it’s actually my new favorite movie of all time but for most of the runtime I was saying to myself “HOW THE HELL DID THIS GET A PG RATING” I have never seen a movie where this many people die in a movie aside from corny slasher films. @Aiden Potter I appreciate that this movie doesn't treat kids like simpletons. Death is a part of life. It is hard and heartbreaking, but there are plenty of joys and wonder to behold, as well. This has been my most favorite movie of the year. Also, it was a way for me to say goodbye to my Father. He passed away less than a year and this movie helped me with my grief. It made me cry like crazy, but it helped me and I know it will help others who have lost loved ones.

I absolutely loved this Pinocchio. Guillermo Del Toro borrowed elements from Disney’s classic animated Pinocchio and the original story it was based on, and remade it all in stop motion. This is the truest height of animation and even Disney and DreamWorks cannot top it. Animation was treated badly, but Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio changed all of that. Like Into the Spider-Verse, the Academy Award-winning animated marvel that changed animation for the better, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio proved that animation was cinema; it's not just a genre meant for adults and kids, it was a medium for all audiences. We were wrong to doubt animation, it is truly cinematic. This stop motion version gives much more heart to Pinocchio than Disney’s soulless cash-grab, and seeing him grow and develop in this movie makes him the best version of Pinocchio since the classic Disney version and the Shrek version. I hope we get to see more marvelous animated movies and series in the near future ahead of us.

As a stop motion animator myself, I have huge respect to the filmmakers for making such a visually stunning, beautifully animated, heartwarming and heartbreaking masterpiece. Y,know when I watched this movie, I wasn't expecting much. Another Pinocchio movie is what I thought at first, but as I watched it, it was a beautiful story of passion unfolding before me. Im not sure what, but something in me resonated while watching it, it made me feel sad, remorseful, all of those things. But when I heard this song, I had to pause it and compose myself. Many years ago, I lost my grandfather on my fathers side. I never knew him that much, but when I did, he was not very memorable. And as it happened, my father grew away from the whole family, it felt like a wall had grown between us. And soon.. He was gone too. When I heard this I just had all of that come back to me, and I now I just wish the last thing I could have said to him was... Farewell my papa...

This was a surprisingly touching and mature retelling of "Pinocchio" but as a mother, I began sobbing near the end when the father was breaking down, telling Pinocchio he didn't want him to be like his other son...he loved him for who HE was, not for who he thought he wanted him to be. I just felt sobs being wrenched from my heart.

I was crying my eyes out with this song. Del Toro has finally given me something I'd been missing for quite a while with movies and that is heart and lots of love for story telling. Those goals long gone to be replaced with sick thrist of breaking records at the box office or desperately trying to win an Oscar. This is story telling, this is love for cinema. After watching this movie the first time i felt odd. I recognized that what i had watched is beautiful, but i had a hard time understanding what truly happened. I think this movie is the best movie i have seen in years, and it's magnificence just struck me in a way that it was almost hard to pay attention to the movie itself. I think i have to watch this movie again at least 1-3 more times, so that i can digest how beautiful and well done it truly is. And then there is this song... Sung by a kid who has the voice of an angel, whos voice is so honest and pure that unless you are crying you are just admiring the beauty of it. I'm happy i could witness this in my life.

I recently ran away from home because of my dad's abuse. Which is leaving my grandfather back home who was more of a father to me. I remember him crying when I ran away but understood why I did it. This movie was released a month after I ran away and I was bawling my eyes out as I remembered my grandpa, I decided to visit him even once in a while but when I surprised him I saw him sleeping in my old room I woke him up and the smile on his face and as he quickly hugged me. So every time I hear this song it always makes me cry. I really can't wait to go home next week to visit him
