For q4, how did you know/how should I have known that it would be hydrolyzing nitrile and not the ester?

How did we know it’s ClF3? Why can’t be more than one Cl? For the question with the MR = 92.5

Try distributing the mass between different number of Cl and F, you will notice that this is the only possible structure.

In question 3 isn’t it supposed to be Q has no reaction(since it’s a ketone) and R turns green(since it’s an aldehyde)?

You are right that's why I played that title "Its the other way round".

in 2 ciii ,isnt decomposition an endothermic reaction? why is delta H negative ?
@examhelpweb2090 Жыл бұрын
Decomposition is usually endothermic. Here you do not need to explain why that is the case. The question only requires you to sketch the enthalpy change of the reaction
@media9755 Жыл бұрын
@@examhelpweb2090 decomposition is USUALLY endothermic ?? i was taught that it’s always endothermic ..

Can you pls explain question 2 part ii explanation part of iodine didnt get u cuz you added something abt chlorine while explaining
@examhelpweb20903 жыл бұрын
When Cl reacts with Fe, FeCl3 forms where Fe has oxidation no. of +3 whereas when I reacts with Fe, FeI2 forms where the halide ion has oxidation no. of +2. This tells that I2 has relatively low oxidising power as compared to that of Cl2 (both halogens are reacting with same reagent i.e. Fe so comparison is being done of their power to oxidising).
