Lifelong Philadelphia sports fan here, thanks for discussing our decades of frustration! There were several reasons for the championship drought not related to William Penn, most of which relate to poor ownership, difficulty developing or attracting talent, or simple bad luck. That being said, I fully endorse erecting a 1,500 ft statue of Billy Penn overlooking the Delaware River, just to be safe.
