Very solid evidence thanks. I attended the '86 and '87 state meets and I would have sworn those tracks were blue. BTW - In '87 Quincy Watts narrowly won the 100m against Calvin Holmes from Carson high (10.49, 10.50). Do you have footage of that?

I believe this is Sacramento Community College. The blue track you speak of is Cerritos Community College. Some years it would be in Sac. Now days is in Clovis which is in Fresno County l, Central Valley

Sorry Logan, this is Hughes Stadium Sacramento, not Birmingham. I know where I shot this and I know both locations better than most people. They might look a little similar in video. Note there is no room for the tents at the start at Birmingham, the flag pole is at the other end of the stadium, the grass area is huge, jump runways along the straight are missing and the concrete wall at the end of the straight is not at Birmingham. Much less a bigger crowd than is possible at Birmingham.

I remember this race. Quincy was awesome to watch. BTW this is NOT the state championships but the CITY championships southern section held at Birmingham high school.
