@wushulemushu take away that 2 point safety casued by the slippery ball and its a tie ball game. paly was used to playing in the rain,cause it had been raining up there throughout the playoffs in norcal. it didnt even sprinkle in socal. im not saying paly isnt a great football team cause they are,im jus sayin it wouldv been different had the weather conditions were sunny and dry. but great game none the less.

how about we appreciate the fact that no one expected de la salle to womp on servite that bad, even me, i went to dls, and played football and graduated in 09. this wasnt even a football game, it was an absolute demolishing of so cals best team. no if ands or buts, DLS really proved themselves in this game

if every high school football program in the country had the same exact 50 players, de la salle would be the best team because they know how to use what they have. every year they play teams with way more talented and faster skill players, and the other teams offensive and defensive lines outweight them 60 pounds per man.

i love all this people complaining about the weather. A good team will adapt and make adjustments. Obviously all the LA people for centennial are whining because a less athletic but tougher team with more heart beat them on their home turf.

@SDCHARGERS619 play with what you got. that night paly showed that it could play and centennial couldn't. if centennial was truly much better than paly, than paly shouldn't have been able to beat them in any weather. the fact that paly held centennial's offense better than any team had that season and that paly's offense performed that night shows how great paly's football team was this year

@SDCHARGERS619 The beat down had nothing to do with the weather. The secret to De La Salle's success? I have never seen an offensive line (as small as they always are) fire out so low and quick as De La Salle's. They do it year after year. Amazing.

@nicoturned13... the reason why bellevue won is due to some incident that happened to the team before they played bellevue, a team mate was killed and their coach had a heart attack and it shook the team up. and your right canyon did upset them in the state bowl game but i can say this if they played again it'll be a different story

to beat de la salle you need to have a disciplined program, you need to have more talent on your team as far as size and speed goes, and you need to dominate the line of scrimmage. That's why bellevue was able to end the 151 game winning streak they were just a better team. The only time in the history of de la salle since the begginning of the streak that de la salle lost to a less talented team is when the 2006 team was upset by canyon country in the state championship.

De la salle lost to St. Thomas 30-6 and st.thomas was ranked 20 in state
