I have the NewAir CC-300H. My wife bought it last year as a birthday gift. It was a huge step up in accuracy from the 3 desktop humidors that I was juggling previously. The biggest notice was how much LONGER my Boveda packs last now that I have a properly sealed humidor. I used to get a 1-2mo on my boveda packs in my old setup. With the NewAir, I get like 3-5 months... I keep around 275 sticks inside and just use one pack per shelf. I live in the North East, so my basement can be both warm in the summer, and cool in the winder. I've never had a problem with temp. It always stays at 69 degrees. Love NewAir's products!

I have owned this unit about 1 year. Its the older version of yours as it has the analog reader rather than digital. Very pleased with it. I seasoned it with the bovida process and added the bovida butler. Works great. I keep four 69 packs in and it maintains temperature and humidity. Added another shelf as I've found I can store more cigars if not in the box.

I know this video is a few years old. I purchased this exact one right after watching your video. After owning it for the last few years. I have a few questions on the temperature settings. Where and how to adjust them. I live in Nebraska. Which the temperature as well as humidity fluctuates a great deal. Summers can give us humidity as high as 80% or even higher. And our winters can get down to -20 below zero. I keep my humidor in my garage. Which is heated and cooled. As well as insulated, but, even in the winter, I find that if I keep the temperature on the humidor at 70°. my digital Gage shows that it will be almost 80%. I tried to lower or increase the temperature, but I can’t find a good number to keep it at. I find myself checking the temp temperature on the unit more often than I think I should. I looked all over For some type of tutorial about this. I’ve yet to find anything. Right now, my temperature is at 64° and I have the 69 % Bovita pack. My gauge reads 73% humidity. Would you be able to do any type of update on this item? Or similar to it if you’re using something else now? Thanks a lot keep up the great videos!

I have the previous version of this humidor and really like it, although the light itself isn't so great. No hope of the light making it's way down to the bottom of the unit. I have a Cigar Oasis in the bottom of mine, the cable running down the right side, held down with aluminum-backed tape. When I set up mine, I wiped down the interior and the shelves the first day, then again a day later. My only issue at this time is that I'm running out of space and need another one. I'm glad to see they have a new model as well. I was worried that they were no longer making units like this.

Have the same box for a year now and love it! Bought another cedar tray for it and seasoned it with the Boveda season pack by placing the draw and all shelves in a plastic bag for 14 days. Wiped the inside down with water and baking soda to get rid of the plastic smell and then again with clear water and dry it out. Only thing I don’t like is the light as mine is blue and I’d prefer an amber light. I also replaced my analog hygrometer with a digital that fit right in.

Not sure why you would “season” a coolidor, its mostly plastic with a rubber seal so there is no need to cause the wood to expand like with a wooden humidor. This type seals perfectly from the start and the wood trays would acclimate from the packs. With the boveda packs there is just no need. Wipe down any dust inside and Just throw a couple 69% 320 boveda packs and it’s ready to go immediately. I found that using the water tray would over humidify the cooler and the 320 packs was the best way to go. I’ve had the same packs in my coolidor for 5 months and they are still almost like new without reviving. You can keep the tray and once the packs start to get a little dried out put the tray in the cooler with a tiny bit of water and the packs will absorb the extra water back up and revive them.

I need one of those. I live in SF and we don’t have air conditioning in our houses because of the natural AC. But on those string of real hot days during the summer my humidors will get up to 90 degrees while the heat wave lasts. Not good.
@Dominic-jb1uf4 жыл бұрын
Not sure why most cigar smokers really need one of these. Here's why. I live in the Midwest (Ohio) and I condition my home year round. Winter, typically between 68-72 degrees, Summer between 72-75 degrees. Those are very acceptable temperatures to keep cigars at so why would I spend $400 for the unit and the annual energy cost to run it. Granted, it only uses 60-watts of energy when running but not sure how many hours it runs daily. Does the fan run constantly? As far as humidity, my house stays between 50% to 75%. So during the winter months humidity is a little low but I use distilled water in a sponge to bring it up to 70% in my clear can humidor. (I like to see all my cigars too!) I think most cigar smokers, would rather spend the $400 on nice cigars. For a collector of cigars, like you and many others, I can see why one might be needed. For the few cigars I keep at home it makes no sense. Thanks for the review though. Very well done.

I seasoned it with the Boveda pack, I have about 150 cigars inside, and it just stays at 79-80. I was thinking of taking the cigars out for a few days, putting them in a zip lock and seasoning again using the tank that came with it. Do you think that’s a good idea? Any suggestion? Thank you so much and hope to hear your input and anyone else that can suggest anything.

Decent humidor. Does stay on humidity. 4 draw backs are. 1. Is when the door is locked when using the lock it doesn't draw the door tight. You can pull it open to be slightly open with a gap. 2. Is Will not hold 250 sticks in boxes. You have to put alot of loose sticks in and the trays don't have side's so they spill off when pulling out. 3. Light not bright enough. 4. Price point is a bit high. Other than that Decent humidor .

@CIGARVIXEN3 жыл бұрын
Is that happening with a full humidor of cigars? If so, try taking out some of the cigars temporarily. Or even try adding more cigars - basically, play around with the amount of cigars inside the unit at one time to see if that helps off set the humidity level. You may even try taking out bóveda packs temporarily to get RH to situate properly. Also, if you reach out to Bóveda on Instagram, they may be able to help with some other suggestions. I haven’t run into that problem personally since I live in the extreme opposite and it’s very dry here. Good luck and let me know if you get the issue fixed please :)

@@justanother106 We it's obvious that they too have not watched the entire video. She clearly goes over it at least two times. And yes, it heats and cools. I have two of these units (Last Years model) and they have been great! The heat and cooling has a range of around 15 degrees. If your house/room is 85 degrees you can effectively cool it to around 70 but if your room/house/garage is 95 degrees it won't ever get to 65 degrees. Same goes with heat. If you are at 35 degrees in a garage, you will also not get to 70 degrees. Hope this helps. So it will heat and cool in a conditioned space, not in a place of temperature extremes. Hope this helps.

@@itswhiskeytime8538 thank you drew for pointing that out again, you're awesome 👌. After completing a little homework I am sorry to inform you that as per "newair" these units do not contain a "heating element " they also mentioned that last years model and this years models are two totally different units.... I hope this information helps the both of you.

@@justanother106 Yes, I am awesome. You have to look at the models with Opti-Temp. This is copied from the New Air website. Opti-Temp heats and cools to maintain temperature year around.
