Put (a lot) baby powder or cornstarch on a fresh oil stain. It will absorb the oil from the fabric, and clump up. Then, all you have to do is scrape the clump into the trash prior to putting it in the washing machine.

To be fair "Haunting in Venice" was inspired and re-written from the original Christie novel "Hallowe'en Party" - I really liked the David Suchet version, but did not care for "Haunting in Venice". Hopefully Branagh is done as Poirot. And "After the funeral" was really good (Hello Fassbender).

Well I never thought I would be giving handy tips here. The solution to oil stains put some washing up liquid onto the stain and then rub it in then wash. Might take like a couple of attempts to completely remove but will work,. :)

If you want to get rid of an older, stubborn oil stain, my mom taught me to use dish soap, a toothbrush or something to scrub, and boiling water. Works for literally everything. It's saved so many of my fav cotton tshirts from being ruined by my skincare routine.
