After Season 4: I backtracked all the way to Season 1 - the dynamic between Mike & Will when they were little boys is key to understanding Will’s despair…. When ‘Jane’ is reunited with Mike (taco bars, roller skates - oh please 🙄!) it’s Will who sees what Mike does not - how desperate she is to appear ‘normal’, which - deep down - she can never be: Mike fell in love with a ‘changeling’ & longed to protect her, as he longed to protect Will - back in the day… The triangular dynamic between these three is astounding, but it’s covered up with psychobabble designed, I think, to show up ‘El Thicko’ as someone who a) hides his feelings b) doesn’t have any to start with… This is ‘family viewing’, & I don’t suppose that we’ll find anything like the tenderness of, say, ‘Brokeback Mountain’, although this was hinted at with Eddie & Steve! The Duffer Brothers have painted us into a corner, by suggesting a situation that cannot be resolved, leaving us on tenterhooks - you have to admire the skill of Master Craftsmen…Dickens & Tolstoy published some of their great works as magazine serials: in fact, when I took up the ‘War & Peace’ challenge (because I didn’t think I could), I actually did read to ‘the next bend in the road’..,very satisfying! It’s an interesting journey, although Netflix will only let me review one season at a time… I’m glad that Joseph Quinn took the chance of a lifetime: Season 4 is so horrific, but the introduction of a new character seemed to inspire the entire cast, with a palpable ‘lift’ to their interactions…I wouldn’t have thought that the actor who portrayed Leonard Bast, would have portrayed a Rebel Rocker with such ease, & great good humour! ‘Eddie the Banished’?, see ‘Eddie the Unforgettable’ “Everyone fell in love with him” - from the Duffer Brothers: actually, everyone IS in love with him! Thank you for sharing your wondrous edit! I know in advance that ‘Someone to Stay’ is going to set the tears flowing, but the images are perfect. & show why millions got hooked on a ‘children’s story’ From Brighton 🌈 UK, take care & be well y’all! 🙏🏽💔🙏🏻

This video is so beautiful. It’s been like 2 months since I watched Stranger Things and I still can’t get these two out of my head. Eleven’s disappearance at the end of season one still affects me. And the way it affected Mike! They were so lost without each other. But then, a year later they reunited and it was the best thing ever and I cried so much. Then Mike had that breakdown and was punching Hopper and I cried even more. That scene just proved much Mike missed El. But in the end they got to go to the snowball and kissed and I died.
