She was the one who couldn't understand the torment that he was living, losing his mum every day and not being able to be there, having panic attacks. She was the one who made a scene in Suzanne's funeral. She was the one who started flirting with his brother after two months. Writers need to explore Conrad's character in season 3 more. We don't throw away people who aren't mentally as strong as others. We show them love and compassion and understanding, and they thrive in ways we can't even imagine.

A thousand times, this! Conrad wanted to talk to Belly at Prom, but SHE is the one who jumped to conclusions and broke up with him. Conrad had the weight of the world on his shoulders and all she could think about is herself. I disagree that Conrad was mentally weak. He was carrying more than Jeremiah. Not only was he dealing with his mom’s death, but he was also in his first year of college (a major life transition of its own), and he was still carrying the weight of his dad’s infidelity. Jeremiah still doesn’t know that little tidbit. Right now, Belly needs to be on her own for a while. She’s not mature enough for Conrad.

I’m SO excited for season 3 Conrad bc I feel like in the books he has a major glow up! Like he moves to California and goes to Stanford for HIM! When was the last time he did something for himself? He’s able to focus on himself for the first time since realizing his father cheated, his mom having cancer and passing away, and getting his heart broken. He starts working on his dream of becoming a doctor. In the books it talks about him exercising and eating well. He grows up some more and becomes more mature. The first two seasons/books was definitely a right person/wrong time trope but I’m so ready for Conrad to truly shine in this upcoming season🥹🥹

One of Conrad"s major problems is he never treats himself well. It's always Conrad- The brother; the boyfriend; the ELDEST son. And never only CONRAD FISHER. A GUY WITH HIS OWN IDENTITY. He has always loved others soo much that he forgot to show some love to himself. I'm pretty sure once he starts to give himself priority and gets a mental glow up away from all chaos, he will shine as bright as the sun Lauren had described him to be last season.

This episode broke my Bonrad heart into pieces, but I felt really bad for Jeremiah too. The way he was ready to sacrifice himself and actually pushed them to have a conversation before wrapping everything up. Well, I’m wrecked. 😭 This has always been one of my favorite book series, because it’s just so truthful. When you’re young, you’re stupid. You have big feelings and you make even bigger mistakes because of them. You say things you don’t mean, push people away when you shouldn’t, let go when you should hold on. You just feel SO MUCH when you’re young. These three teenagers are constantly just trying to keep their heads above water whilst falling in love and losing one of the most influential mother/mother figures in their lives. Jeremiah deserves happiness. No question. But Conrad and Belly are endgame. They are young, but their love is real. They have always loved each other infinitely, from the beginning. They know one another better than anyone else does, but they just can’t get out of their own way. Which is a common problem amongst young lovers. Their feelings are real, but they’re not mature enough to know how to handle it yet. I love that Conrad and Belly don’t get together until years down the line, because they work on themselves first. Their lack of communication is their downfall right now, but they’ll get there. They ARE infinite. And I can’t wait to watch it all in season 3. ♾️

If she didn’t, she would spend the rest of her life wondering and that would have interfered with her and Conrad’s relationship, had she chosen him. I am glad she was honest about her feelings and didn’t bury them. However, I truly believe that Jeremiah and Belly are better as friends. I had this as a teen. Can confirm it takes time apart, growth, and most of all: forgiveness. If you truly met the right person at the wrong time, the Universe does its thing eventually. In our case, it took 7 yrs. Until we ran into each other at a Blink-182 concert (1,500 miles from our hometown). In a stadium of 70K people, we happened to go to the same beer stand at the same time. I suddenly heard my favorite Beer being shouted from the back of the line as I was about to order. Then “First Date” started playing, so he added, “…and I’ll have another one of these, please! 😂” Long story short, we got married 2 years later. And “First Date” by Blink-182 was our wedding ceremony outro song (the one that starts playing after you say “I Do” and walk back up the aisle hand in hand…jamming 🤟🏻).

They will find their way back ,but they have to grow first and learn one big lesson and it's that separation is also a part of love and that people have to grow separately from one another,but if they are meant to be they will find their way back to each other. I personally haven't read the books before I finished season 1,but after I did it just added to my point. Remember how in season 1 their song was This love by one and only TS? Well, the line “when you're young ,you just run,but you come back to what you need“ is so true I've learned in life in general not just relationships,and I feel that that one line ties their story together perfectly and it's a little hint by the creators of the show.I love Jeremiah,but he needs to learn that his journey is separate from Conrad's,and just because their dad favored Conrad(which is a bit more explained in the books) he doesn't need to look up to him anymore,but find his own way and write his own story,and no matter what anyone thinks,I agree with what Steven said in the last episode about him and Belly.Sorry for talking so much,but I just needed to put it out there.

I don’t get why people don’t like Conrad. It’s clear he was pushing everyone away because of how distraught he was feeling as his mothers disease was getting worse and it’s scary to go through that, and to open up about what your feeling can’t be easily shared by everyone…of course it wasn’t the best way to deal with it, but it’s so easy to do that when you’re grieving and Belly absolutely did not understood him at all nor tried to see his point of view.

This edit is beautiful and that last episode only confirmed everything I already knew. Conrad and Belly are still endgame. It's easy to forget what it was like to feel attractive for the first time, to fall in love for the first time. Its easy to look at them with all our knowledge grown from experience and want to yell at them or to throw labels out like “selfish” or “toxic.” The fact is they are kids. And they are learning the same way we learned- through trial and error. I don’t resent any of them. My heart just breaks for them. They all want to do the right thing. They all want to protect each other. They all want the others to be happy, even at their own expense.
