Katherine at around 21:49 seemed like she wanted to cry. When she said it’s a painful process, that hurt me. I know how you feel Kath. It’s hard to always take care of others and then not know how to ask for help. Everyone looks to you as the strong one. But sometimes we need some help too.

To be honest I find very helpful what Lauren said around 37:33 when she said to look at it like a test. Just because opening up to a certain person or a group of people does not work out doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying or you should close up again. It is kind of what she said in another episode about relationships: "just because you are not a match doesn't mean you are not a catch". You still deserve and have the right to open up. She is basically saying "you are not the problem, the relationship or the situation might be. You can try again elsewhere. There is nothing wrong". Telling yourself "this is not a safe person" is a very helpful way to approach it, like, its is not them to blame, but me either. There's just a lack of "click". And that is such a powerful and important message. Thanks, Lauren~

This episode was an eye-opener because it never even occurred to me that someone could have a hard time opening up to others. As someone who has to actively restrict myself not to over-share, this was very interesting to watch; especially since they all could relate and none of them talked about the opposite: when you open up too easily.

If someone is opening up to you, it can be helpful to ask them if they want comfort or advice. Sometimes people advice and rationalization can make a person feel dismissed

I'm a new part of the Cimfam and this is such a helpful topic. I am at the stage of my life where I don't know how to open up and I don't feel comfortable telling others about my feelings. I also relate about the caretaker thing. I always feel like a burden just because I think that I have to be strong for them. I even wrote songs about it but people are telling me that it's just a hobby, idk. Anyway this is such an amazing video and you are all so Amazing talent wise or "therapy" wise. Love you all❤️ You probably won't even see this but I still want to thank you for this

For dealing with dismissed feelings my mom always says “just because someone may be in a worse situation doesn’t mean your feelings are irrelevant” it doesn’t mean don’t help people and stuff just remember your thoughts are valid no matter what someone else’s doing or saying
