I heard recently that the infamous Cincinnati Mall van has been sold to some private owner

It's barely salvageable at this point unless they are going to preserve it for a musuem.

I think it’s interesting how L.J. Hooker doesn’t seem to take area income, demographics, etc. into account when developing a mall. Look at Richland Mall in SC! Also, it’s super interesting to see a Steve and Barry’s logo still up!

I live just down the street and go in frequently to walk. It’s so disheartening to see vandalism escalating in there now. Just in the past month a lot of new damage has occurred. Not sure what the future holds for Cincinnati Mills/ Forest Fair but I hope somebody buys it and turns it into something great. So much space going to waste. It’s a shame

I was just in the Bass Pro Shop today with family and saw the empty mall through the window! It was sad

What’s the status of this mall? Can it still be accessed by the public?

Nothing's changed with it, it's still open to walk around in and it still has the same 4 or 5 businesses left. But security is also still aggressive in enforcing no filming. Kohls is supposedly closing this year though.

@@undergroundretail It's worth a trip to see such a massive empty mall in person. It's very surreal and it's almost dead silent inside. If you can evade security then you could definitely get awesome footage, just listen for the segway!

Welcome to the deadest mall in America...lol. This place is so dead I’m surprised the restrooms are still open. So much could be said about this place but it would take way too long. It’s probably the closest thing to an abandoned building you are legally allowed to be in. That and in 5 years it will probably be the next Rolling Acres if something isn’t done about it.
