Has it been so long we've forgotten who we are and where we came from? Barry Larkin was the team captain for Lou Pinella the last time the Reds won the world series. He knows exactly how to hold these guys to a higher standard. He comes from a generation of Reds that knew all the Big Red Machine players. He comes from an era where the Reds were one of the best organizations in baseball. He is a HOFer, gold glove winner, silver slugger, MVP, and team captain. People need to put respect on his name.

"Better at keeping each other accountable. Making sure you get to your pregame work, that you show up here or show up there, making sure that you take care of your body..." This statement from India is eye opening for me. Tells me some players weren't doing these things.

That's quite the damning statement. Be it India or someone else, some player in the clubhouse needs to go to the guys who aren't putting in the work and/or preparation and set them straight. It doesn't have to be out in public, but sometimes it does if the person in question isn't responding to respectful accountability.

Larkin is the best choice, he will make them play better defense and smarter base running. Also you will hit the ball the other way.or you will sit. Also he will ask for what this team needs.righthanded power bat in outfield, veteran starter to eat innings, and a backup catcher.Hire Barry!!!!!!😊

I agree. I don’t think some people understand how good and experienced Larkin was. A higher career WAR than Joey Votto, 12 time All-Star and World Series Champ. There’s no way he doesn’t know what it takes to win and develop players.

Davis Bell understands the power of words. That every time you speak you’re basically making a contract with the universe. If your guys are playing well you won’t need much accountability.
