Zhang Ze it's a decent man far better than Xie Wei on the moral and spiritual grounds. And romantically even more. He represents the healthy type of love, sweet, stable, peaceful and honest. It's the type of love most of people aspire to live and meet with the right person. Ye Lin was the playful and free spirit type of love. The youthful and teenagehood love. Xie Wei was the dark, twisted, toxic and possessive type of love. He himself is aware of his true nature however he doesn't grasp at first that Ning was afraid of him precisely because of his personality. And the trauma from her past life was added in the combination. No wander she wanted to escape him in multiple occasions.😅 In reality any sane woman would run for the hills when it comes to meeting a man like Xie Wei.😂 But since this is a drama of course fiction has a different course of action.

@@LeliaVoinea but the zhangZe in novel is not good I mean its worst.. So I only liked zhangZe in Drama bcoz he make him looked good and you loved him more in drama .ZZ in novel how many times he rejected her bcoz HE HATES HER NING'ER in novel past life is worst,shes scheme ,manipulator she used ZhangZe until ZZ forgots his MOM reason why ZZ hated her most in presentlife (OG novel) !. atleast in Cdrama he gave him such impressive personality which likable he still liked her despite of what happened to his mother bcoz of her time . And FYI three males are not DECENT in a NOVEL all of them experience hatred to NING'ER so dnt quiet flattered to that. 😉 the only they became good and friends is the last part when they realize how each of them help in hand like in this adaptation. ZhangZhe in NOVEL even after the chaos they dnt talk but they are atleast good .

@@Lunafreya_Nox I didn't read the novel therefore I don't know about Zhang Ze in the novel. I have only seen the drama. But I still believe in the drama he was a decent man from the start to the end. At least he gets a happy ending in the drama with his profession and becomes friends with everyone. I actually like how the drama it's structured and how each character is learning from the others to evolve and become a better version of themselves. Ning becomes more calm and emotionally mature, Yen Lin becomes a great general and mature young man, from a spoiled insecure young woman the princess evolved into a responsible and sensible young woman that learns her duty as a princess, Zhang Ze becomes more sociable and flexible in his interactions with others and the unhinged crazy Xie Wei finally is put in his place by Ning and learns to behave as a human being not only as a beast fighting for survival or hunting always.

What hurt me most was talking about loving another man before the man who loves her,ofcourse, she keep getting blinded by the past that she keep making a lot of wrong decisions, if she wants to make things right, can't learn to give him the same chance, she blames him for everything while her greed in the past for power drove him to the edge.
