I disagree with some of the things she says about Instagram, where pictures are not being so carefully put out as in magazines. Instagram is known for their photoshopped perfect life portrayals for the most part. I agree that you have more control over what you decide to write and put out. I think instagram is, in a sense, even more unrealistic and even dangerous for some teens in particular. To see your peers being popular on instagram and putting out pictures where they don’t portray a full picture of their lives and even a true portrayal of what they look like, can be damaging for an impressionable person. I feel it is so much more competitive nowadays with social media.
