Cinema 4D: How to connect Objects to Spline || Spline Dynamics

You can also add an align to spline to the share, add the chosen spline into it and it'll do the same thing.

HI, I have a project where I need to connect a spline ( simulating a usb cable ) to a usb connector (static) which is attached to an handle. Basically attaching the first point on the spline and the last point on the spline to the two static objects. So the usb cable acts naturally as if it were attached to the objects. For instance, the usb cable acts the same as between a phone and charger. Thanks in advance,

I try that on version 26. (with "rope" tag naturally) It doesn't work. The object gets position with index choosing but do not move with node. Have anyone ever tried it with new versions?

Check 'used Deformed Points' above the point index parameter. It's a feature not in this video.

On adding spline dynamics tag spline moves way down in viewport. Any suggestions?

It depends on what you are aiming for. Like I said in the video, if you want to have a sagging effect, you'll have to pick points you want to be fixed, and go to properties tab of the spline dynamics tag. You will click the set button in front of FIXED. Check the first 2mins of this video for that

I had the same issue, make sure you are on Frame 0, when you add the tag otherwise it tries to calculate where the spline might be at the frame.

How do you get to the structures tab in the new version of Cinema? I don't see it anywhere.

Go to window menu up top, the you will see structure manager.. there you will get it
