Cinema at home: Moonraker (recreating Odeon cinema 1979 intro reel)

You just made an old projectionist very happy. I started aged 18 at Odeon Worcester in autumn 1979 and Moonraker was playing in Screen 1 as I started my training. The next film was China Syndrome. I remember so much of this reel, not least the magical idents. Thank you for taking me back to a very happy time in my life. (RIP Russell and Roy.)

On the him advert the music they used was 'Big Shot' by Keith Mansfield which was used on a episode of the The Sweeney.

I saw Moonraker as a 9th birthday treat at the Regent in Lyme Regis and adored it. I don't remember any of the ads or trailers, alas, with one exception:Zulu Dawn, which lodged in my head for some reason.

Amazing! Love the attention to detail! Would love if you can do Octopussy.. from memory.. it’s had James Bond in India as a short, as well as Eric Morecambe, Tom Baker and Madeline Smith in The Passionate Pilgrim!
