That a God will save you from suffering is an Abrahamic (Islamic, Jewish and Christian) perspective. The Indian (Hindu, Buddhist, Jain) perspective of God is not of saving you in this world.. but to see the illusion in the perception of the world one lives as the one and only truth above all else. Saving yourself.

The Mahabharata is centred around the concept of Dharma. How it doesn't even spare the Gods and their children. More metaphysical than practical. Mari's re-writing tries to replace Dharma (or Zen or Dhamma or Tao) with existential musings. Such re-writing of myth is deemed essential in Marxist thought in the arts to root out religion. Mostly ends in cracking the family unit.. It's anyones guess who controls people after that. I don't say Mari is doing wantedly or is some Marxist..

Such lofty thoughts are not in the realm of Marxist thinkers and artists like Maari. Imagine : The fellow says 'My life is in sync with nature, dogs, cats, etc are all part of our family". At the same time the fellow says "Eating well means eating chicken and mutton". Ultimately they cannot understand the violence in their own ways. It is all twisted up in the mind. At the foundation is Brahmin/Hindu hatred. Karma : Do the people even know what type of character he was in the Vyaasa's Mahabharata? Do people know he actually raped a girl ? Do people know how violent he was? People have only seen some dramatizations of it, which themselves are crude representations. The original Bhaarata remains untouched by all this and it has its own eternal glory.
