Unfortunately FERRARI the movie had very little to do with Ferrari the car manufacturer, and racing. Instead, the move was way too focused on Enzo's love triangle which nobody, except maybe Piero, cares to know. So much was focused on Piero's mother that I have to wonder if that was his decision because he wanted his story told, rather than tell the story of Ferrari's racing history.

Sorry about all the negative comments from would be film experts . I SAW the actual movie and found it an awesome experience . The drama of Enzo’s personal life was so well presented and the race scenes were exceptionally well done ! Loved it ! Will return to see it again , especially after viewing this great review . Thanks !!!

This movie looks awesome. I’ve been watching Formula 1 since I was a kid back in the 1980’s, so I’m looking forward to watching this. I know there were other races like Mille Milla & the Le Mans 24hr races too, should be a great movie 😎👍

The casting leaves a lot to be desired. Adam Driver as Enzo is comical especially after playing Maurizio Gucci. Apparently he’s the go to in Hollywood for Italian characters now 😂

Italian actors speaking their native language with English dubbing (or better yet subtitles) would have been so much better but most likely would have made so much less money. It's Michael Mann and Hollywood after all!

This 'American' film is very good and beautifully photograohed but makes one cinematic mistake. The streets, the towns, the factory et al...are far too squeaky clean. That is not real life.

Very, very disappointed at what was a lost opportunity to share the exciting history of Ferrari and how they came to be. Instead, it's focused on a love triangle that no real car fan cared to see on the big screen. Unlike Ford vs. Ferrari, there is little to know background about the development of Ferrari race cars, no dialog about what was need to win a race, other than telling drivers not to brake going into a turn. Instead we get shouting matches from his wife and tender scenes with his mistress and second son. Not what I paid to see.

I agree. I honestly did not care about Ferrari’s checkered love life, I wanted to know about the racing and the company itself. The pacing of the film bored me to tears and I wish that we got more racing.

Could someone tell me why they are speaking English with Italian accent? It is clearly that real family spoke Italian. So why don’t they speak in film with English and no accent(cause we all know it’s US film) Asking because inSimpsons it was considered as racism when white man voiced Indian character with accent.

Doesn't look too good. Enzo miscast. Not enough different cars racing. "My Terrible Joys" was Enzo's biography. They probably should have used that book, not the American Brack Yates book, as a starting point. It costs over $200, though, so I can't afford it...

The video was ok.. Now that i have seen the film, I cannot recommend it. Too many technical flaws, prop mistakes, dialogue blunders, historical falsehoods, made up scenes which cannot have been known and pure fantasy conjecture. . Ridiculous racing errors, , very poor continuity, unnecessary sex scenes ( again contrived), unnecessarily gory crash scene, gore for the sake of shock value. Because of that, it was just another Hollywood spectacle and not a realistic chronical. The Enzo character, Driver, was a joke and not in the least bit credible. Very poor casting.. what, the world has run out of Italian actors and American "stars" implanted instead. Then look at the guy who played Moss.. so far off the mark. Small detail but significant such as the conversations about the transfer of power from Laura to Enzo . They talked about500 Hundred thousand DOLLARS then when she went to the bank it was 500,000 LIRA. Where were the script editors? And my favorite, the Ferrari passing the Maserati .. The Ferrari had a loose bit of chrome dangling then as it passed, no dangling chrome, then magically, dangling chrome. "Special" effects. t highlight of the buffoonery was the comedy of Italian accented English. The constant falling out of the accent and crass English was grating. Absurd., how about Italian with subtitles to make it authentic? This was NOT a car guy or gal film, it was ego driven by the producers and directors with little respect for historical accuracy. Sensationalism, not great film making. A waste of time and money. If you are going to see the film, do it to see the 15-20 minutes of cars.. but not the implausible race scenes... bunched up no... dicing around curves, no...this is a 1000 mile race and the prospect of 5 cars packed together is not realistic as is most of the film. These are my opinions, I am not a film maker but a 7th generation film buff who has owned over 100 cars. to add, 25 years in the auto industry.... 11 years retail and 14 years as a field rep (District Manager and National corporate trainer) for High line Euro auto makers.

Race scenes in fact abound with mistakes - some probably made intentionally, to intensify spectacular value at the cost of telling the truth, others completely unnecessary, probably made due to incomplete knowledge about the MM'57.

Just saw it. Disappointed. I like so much of what Michael Mann has done in the past. But this movie is ultimately uninteresting. In contrast, "Ford V Ferrari" was an very well made movie. You empathized with those characters. WIth "Ferrari" all the acting is just very mundane. I couldn't really care less about any of the characters. The CGI is horrible. I hope this is just a hiccup for Michael Mann as it is not good story telling.

One major problem with Ford Vs Ferrari is that factually it’s about 25% true. If you know anything about the history of the Ford GT and Shelby’s involvement you have to laugh at the main story of Ford Vs Ferrari. One major error is Leo Beebe was no villain and didn’t try to stop Miles from driving in the 1966 Le Mans. Miles drove a Shelby entered Ford GT in the 1965 LeMans with Beebe’s blessing. Also, the Ford GT was raced at Le Mans and other races unsuccessfully in 1964 before Shelby took over which was never mentioned in the movie. Miles and Loyd Ruby drove a Shelby Ford GT to its first win at the 1965 Daytona Continental and the movie ignored it. Miles was the top Ford GT driver and nobody tried to stop him from driving any race in the Ford GT. There are other problems but that’s enough for mow.

Another bad movie by an over the hill director. This should have had an Italian director and actor. Enzo Ferrari is a global figure beloved not just in Italy. Nothing against Adam Driver but he is miscast here and bears no resemblance to Enzo. Hollywood gets it wrong once again. Nolan would have nailed it.

I am fascinated by motor racing, especially sports cars, but the great problem about making a motor racing film is that most people are not interested in it. So you make a film about relationships which many more people are interested in with motor racing as the background canvas.
