What an incredible film! One of my favorites in of the past 10 years. I watched it on Shudder with Joe Bob Briggs' commentary, then bought the official DVD so my family could also watch it. My whole family loves zombie movies, so to see one that was so unique and so focused on the family drama at the center made it a perfect movie for my family. Then again, we own most of the Romero Zombie series, RotLD, both Shaun and Juan of the Dead, and a few others, so we might be a bit biased lol.

💀I absolutely love One Cut of the Dead and was so glad it hadn't yet been spoiled for me when I saw it last year. I didn't know about its sequel and remake though. I'd at least like to see the sequel. Another great podcast! 🧠 🧟🧟‍♂🧟‍♀

I am one of those that had a hard time getting through the first half. It wasn't the digital look for me. It was more that I was sooo tired of Zombies... I still am. And I was very much expecting the movie to be a one trick pony single take gimmick that hinged on that being the only selling point. I will admit that the second half made me love the whole film. Both halves.
