i said the same thing !! i think i watched it when i was 12 wheres the damn hadouken? 20 years later my mate put it on and my mate pointed out the hadouken and threw in the shoryuken as well, its terrible if your expecting a street fighter adaption, but its comedic gold if you watch it as a standalone hahaha

There was a hadouken at that moment yes. There is also Ken who performs a shoryuken on Sagat but he doesn’t jump in the air, it’s just an uppercut to Sagat’s jaw and Ken pivots on himself like if Ken was just too bored to actually make a real shoryuken. Guile does his bicycle kick to Bison three times in a row, Bison hit Guile while flying kinda like in the game and Honda speed slaps Zanguief during their fight. So to say they never do their signature move is not totally true but they are so poorly executed that we barely notice them.

I'm not ashamed to say that I watched this movie countless times on VHS as a child, many more times on DVD as a teenager, and a fair amount more on blu ray as an adult. It may be flawed as heck, and far from loyal to the video games, and may not contain any actual street fighting, and may have changed the nationalities of several characters, but, gosh darn it, it is absolutely entertaining. I still quote this film to this day (to this day!), even if no one else gets it. On a semi-related note, I'm super stoked to be meeting Ming Na Wen (Chun-Li) and Miguel Nuñes, Jr. (Dee Jay) at two separate conventions soon. 😁 Edit: Darn, I thought the video was going to end with the hadouken, and hadouken sound effect. Deceiver! 😂

It's hilarious that Jackie Chan's short homage to the SF video game craze (in "City Hunter") was leagues better than pretty much everything in this film.
