Everytime that the Predator attacked someone with its Predator weapon it was someone who was using a human weapon. Then at the end when Dutch didn't have any human weapons, the Predator dropped its Predator weapon. Seems kinda fair to me.

Also even if it was, this feels a lot like the trope where the villian decides to fight mano el mano specifically because he feels the protagonist has EARNED the right. The Predator probably views this one man as some of the best prey he's had on this planet, perhaps multiple planets. So he feels the prey has earned the right to have a chance at his freedom, at his escape

This video doesn't show whether or not Jeremy gave a sin for that (but I'm guessing he did because that's how CinemaSins works for some stupid reason, though I suppose he does occasionally remove sins for things that make him laugh). I can't really tell whether that was Jeremy mocking the movie, or laughing about the obvious connection to the Expendables. Anyway, if Jeremy is laughing because he is amused by the connection, then I think that's a nice moment in the original video. Calling attention to the Expendables reference. I don't think it's a 'This Move, That Movie' because it's actually a direct reference. 'This Movie, That Movie' is generally about Jay calling Jeremy out for making pointless irrelevant references from what I've seen. Arnold talking about not-Expendable soldiers is obviously relevant to the movie called the Expendables where Arnold leads a group of soldiers that are not-really-Expendable badasses who are ironically named. That said, if that's Jeremy making mocking laughter, fuck it, he deserves a sin for mocking a fun retroactive reference. If Jeremy is genuinely laughing and enjoying the joke, but still adds a sin to the counter, then he deserves a sin for being a dumbass and giving a sin for something fun. Also, I mean, as far as the forced laughter thing, it's hard to get natural laughter in a scripted video made well after watching the movie. If Jeremy laughed because he likes the reference, and took a sin off, I'd give him a sin back, because one of the few things I like about Jeremy is when he isn't just being a fucking twat and laughs about something fun in the movie and points it out as being good. Shows that 1 out of every 1000 times, he's not just a huge fucking twat.

The reason why CinemaSins has the number of minutes in the title (and has the Sin Timer) is that the original idea behind their videos was to cram as much of what they thought was wrong with a movie into a concise summary. However, as their channel grew and KZbin became more demanding, they dropped that intention but kept the minutes and the timer as an artifact.

16:40 Actually, guys from a channel The Modern Rogue tested this, and a huge fire actually IS a good defence against heat vision - yes, the Predator is going to know more-or-less where you are (near the fire), but right next to the BRIGHT GIANT FIRE you will be hidden. Basically, the fire will be much hotter (ergo brighter) than you and serve as a distraction, and with some IR visors that automatically adjust the colour range, it might make you almost invisible. Considering Dutch is a special ops commando and almost certainly fought with soldiers (or planes) who used thermal vision, he'd know that.

I can understand his sin about the woman and the chopper. She is a foreign woman in enemy military fatigues that is unknown to chopper crew in a hostile foreign environment where the guys they dropped off are operating and she’s showing up to them alone in what could possibly be since they are operating what ended up being an op that was really a different op from what Dutch and co were told they’d be doing, an op outsiders really shouldn’t be knowing about. Yet she’s rocking up to this chopper and saying that a monster of the jungle wiped out the crew and their leader needs help so come with her. I understand it working out possibly like that in the end but considering how cia/military ops that whole thing looked like at the time she coulda ended up shot just to not leave witnesses or viewed as leading them into a trap

Zip ties are actually fairly easy to escape from, but it requires a very specific maneuver involving slamming the zip tie into your knee. So it's fairly reasonable someone won't know (and it hurts quite a bit to pull off). It's alright that they haven't escaped, but it's also ridiculous that anyone who actually knows what they are doing uses zip ties as handcuffs.
