I got strong Journey to the West vibes from this game before knowing it was just that with badly redesigned sprites to make the lead character an Indian. Making you go clear thru the level to have another go at the boss though, is absurd but I guess that’s that NES HARD!

the game you threw had a bad solder joint. throwing it, made the loose pin move and make contact. or you could have just opened it up and reflowed the joints on the edge connector

Like that heart containers aren't arbitrarily dropped, they're based on those little apple core looking things. They give you level ups. When you pause it says how many more you need for the next level

Omg Lol, xD ... sorry Mike, this video made me laugh sooo hard.... I loved this game when I was a kid and I remember how insanely hard it was, so to see a man slowly descend into madness at the halfway mark was really funny, because I knew the horrors that lay ahead... I don't think I ever beat this game actually. I think it's a very excellent game that needs a little polish. Another game you should try is Kickmaster if you haven't but do some research on the mechanics a little... it might help, it definitely would have helped with this game.

Btw the More when you pause it, tells you how many more water bladders you need before you can another heart container.... these also unlock skills I believe..... very important part of the game. You need to save all E tanks... I dunno what they are called, jars ? also... the spinny spear power deals alot more damage, but not as much range.

Look, often the creators of things are wrong. Jif vs Gif is a big example. If you call it jif, may you die a thousand deaths. If you call it gif, you will reap rewards forevermore. If you were able to discern pronunciation from those two spellings realize one is correct, and two, if you want to say it incorrectly it should be shortened to such.
