Your mom, or girlfriend or whoever you live with isn't there right now, it's night time. And then all of sudden your dog starts barking, you try to see what he's barking at, but you don't see anything, so then you just ignore the dog and go upstairs for about 20 min. and then you come back down stairs and THERE'S LEATHERFACE WITH A CHAINSAW. It’s also made all the more sad because obviously the boyfriend was going to propose to her but she was also strongly hinted at as being pregnant. In the conversation among the group before the hitchhiker shows up they offer her beer and pot and she refused stating she’s nauseous, they ask if she’s doing ok because she’s nauseous, she says she is fine, they ask if it’s something she ate or drank, one of the others points out she barely ate anything and only drank bottled water on their trip. All of this strongly points to her knowing she’s pregnant and taking measures to protect the fetus growing inside her.

Me and some friends had a discussion similar to this on how to survive a slasher movie and one of my friends actually gave some decent advice; Act like you're trying to survive in prison IRL if you're in a horror movie. -Keep your head down and keep a low profile: If you're in a hostile environment, keep your head down and just keep moving. Don't stop for nobody, don't try to help nobody, just keep moving until you're out of the threat zone. -Strength in numbers: Just like in prison, if are a part of a gang, then you have protection and can use your numbers to your advantage. In prison, if you are alone or separated from your group, then you are a much easier target to pick off. But if you stick together, than your chances of survival in prison (or in this case, a horror movie) is much higher. -Fight dirty: Just as the name implies, it is a fight for survival. You win every fight you don't start, but if you're ever in a fight in prison, then all rules are off. Bite, claw, choke, low blow, bash against walls and ground, etc. Do WHATEVR it takes to survive the encounter and ensure they won't be coming for you again. All in all, this small list really did stick out to me, considering the fact that very few times do you ever think like a convict, but IRL convicts live in the equivalent of a horror movie everyday, so they are probably the best suited to handle it...

You have no idea how refreshing it is to see someone include "Freeze" alongside "Fight" and "Flight" as panic responses. So many people have heard the phrase "Fight or Flight," which probably spread well because it rhymes, but not nearly so many know that there's a 3rd response. It's the response that saves prey being hunted by a predator focused on movement. It's responsible for the classic "deer in the headlights." It's also the response which can give you a little more time to decide what to do consciously instead of merely being driven by instinct. Edit: Also, I think that the shock of seeing the girl pull a gun on them in the car wasn't so much because of the gun itself, but rather where she was keeping it. Nobody is prepared for that.

The Men: Let’s just dump the body and clean the evidence that it ever happened The Girlfriend: no we need to do the right thing or I would break up with you Me: Nope I’m taking no chances I’m out

She is the reason they end up killed for it too.. like damn, let them dump it

And look at that, not only she got her entire friends killed but a random innocent truck driver. Oh but its alright, she saved dababy (*sarcasm)

I mean did they have to go to that town's police? They seemed unreliable.

@@lightningpenguin8937 No. But remember they dumb. If the characters are intelligent then it would have been an action movie.

I'd keep the body in the car and drive to the city, who cares if we get arrested! She killed herself and her body will show it, I'm not dumping her body somewhere random, that would make me look guilty. Time to go to the city police.

Great video! But just so you know, the man playing the sheriff was a Marine in real life. (I use the word "was" because of his unfortunate passing a few years ago). I wouldn't try that guy in hand to hand combat lol
