I always think of Million Dollar Mystery when I think of bad 80s movies. Not only was the movie horrible, despite having so many big names in it, it is a lesson in 80s movie tropes. A man stole a lot of money, hid it in several different places and wrote down hints so that he could find it later. He has a heart attack in a restaurant. As he's dying, he gives the other diners the hints. The other diners are not at all concerned about saving his life, making sure his corpse is properly handled, or making sure that the stolen money gets returned to is rightful owner, everybody leaves this man behind so that they can go find the loot! To promote the movie, one of the movie goers would actually win one million of the hidden 4 million dollars. The movie grossed less than a million dollars.

Beverly Hills cop came out in 1984 not 1985. Also 1984 was a great year for movies. Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Terminator, The karate Kid, Footloose, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Temple of Doom all came out that year as well as Beverly Hills Cop. It was one of the best years for Films imo.Also Uncle Buck is well regarded by critics and audiences alike so I don’t know how you got the idea it isn’t.

UHF was awesome and shouldn't even be in a conversation for a bad movie. The biggest problem that UHF had was it was released during one of, if not the biggest blockbuster movie summers of all time. The summer of 1989 had Batman, Honey I shrunk The Kids, Karate Kid 3,ajpr League and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. By the time UHF was released in late July or early August of '89, it was just buried with the other summer movies. Weird Al was great and a genius in UHF. Such awesome parodies! Very complimentary to his music. If UHF was released during the fall instead of summer, I'm sure it would've made a lot more money and done better at the box office. It's now considered a cult classic.

man I saw bill and ted opening night with a really pretty girl named angel....I had no idea what the movie was about but when i saw george carlin to start the movie i knew it would be good man we laughed all movie long it was a great time.....me and angel lived together for a few months but she moved away with her family and i never saw her again. In 86, Howard the Duck was Shakespeare compared to Heartburn with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep. I do agree that Rhinestone was dreadful.

God, looking back on the 80's, I LOVED Under the Rainbow, but it was a horrible movie. I'm guessing that perhaps maybe Princess Leia running around in a bra and slip probably made me enjoy it a bit more back then.
