I lost my wife (46y) 6 months ago and found this song by accident. I cry every time I listen it. It is hard to keep going on sometimes. I miss her so much.
@BeforeThisNovember10 ай бұрын
You’ve probably heard it before but you got to share her time on this earth together. That’s a very lucky thing. Heartbreak from losing a loved one is a strange feeling. It never gets easier but we do find ways to cope with it better as time goes on. Unfortunately it’s something that almost all of us will have to experience at some point. But we have to soldier on, for them. They’re in a better place looking over us and they want nothing more than for us to continue to live our lives to it’s potential. Sorry for your loss, man. You’ll get through it, I promise you. And you’ll be reunited eventually when you can catch up and tell her all the wonderful things you experienced. They’re proud of us for keeping strong.

The secret is really in the chord progression, almost like story-telling. Every time I hear his chord progressions I realize it's a song by him before even looking it up. I just discovered the artist a few months ago. The chord progression here is very similar to " je tu lassierez du mot" I think it reflects a specific emotion he's trying to let go of or explore. Kind of his signature, just like with short stories, every writer has their signature style in writing.

My Granny's funeral was a few months back. My sister, my two cousins and I (aged from 16-19) were put in charge of one thing: the 'visual presentation'. Yeah... the slideshow. So we were to make a video of photos and images we had chosen from throughout her life. We chose to play this song along with the video. Pictures of the life of my Granny, her childhood family, the family she made and all of her homes rolled on by alongside a beautiful song that embodies the very same rotation of life. Creation to disintegration, making to breaking, gain to loss... but then to creation, making and gain again. It was absolutely perfect, such a beautiful song.

Essa música me define, completamente, a melodia, tudo.

The program "This Is Us" brought me here tonight - as it has to so many other amazing songs. I heard this song playing & was so moved. I have played it over & over. It is hauntingly beautiful...and masterpiece. Those piano chords with the strings are so beautiful. The lyrics are powerful and sad. I felt like crying as I read them. Wow...thank you for this amazing but sad song. ❤

I think this song resonates with so many people (besides the actual song itself because it's so freaking beautiful) is that it's been used EVERYWHERE which it should be. It's an emotionally wrecking song that makes everyone feel so much, doesn't matter who you are. It's been used so much during very pivotal moments in film and television it also has an emotional memory attached to it.

It's been used mostly for tv shows like Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, Suits, Teen Wolf,, etc. It's been in some movies like Step Up Revolution, Gimme Shelter and The Theory of Everything.

I heard a little bit of this song watching a 'Britain's Got Talent' clip. I wanted the whole song, and I'm so glad I found it! It was driving me crazy, because at first I searched Coldplay's music since I could only hear the piano part in the clip, and it sounded like something Chris Martin would play. Luckily I was able to record just the piano part on my iPhone, and use one of those online song detectors, and to my huge surprise it told me what song it was! Amazing!
