Turkey is great. I spent 5 weeks there a month ago travelling from Cannakkale down to Kemaliye. Spent a few days in Cappadocia and a lot of other great known and unknown places. Sometimes it was difficult to leave a place just because of its beauty. And even 5 weeks are to short. So I need to come back in 2025. Great video well done. Good luck for you to reach whatever destination it will be at the end!

@@offthemainroad a huge trip you are on. All the best. I‘m dreaming of someting like this. But it is a bit to late for mme for such a real big one. Guess I‘m a bit to old now. Maybe next year when I cross the balcan again down to turkey I‘m able to enhance the journey with georgia. Oh, and yes, even for the balcan you defintely should consider to spent more time there. I particulary reckon the national parks and the big canyons. I was somehow surprised that you decide to go through russia in the current situation but after I saw that you spent great time with friendly locals to mee it seems that it is as always: forget what people and the press are telling you in your home country. Out there you can find nice, friendly and helpful people, it doen‘t matter if balcan or turkey. That is was I experienced.

@@xplore-justforthefunofit Yes! You're very right! If you need any recommendations for Georgia, let us know 😊 And I don't know how old you are, but age is just a number, right?! We have a couple almost in their 70s crossing China with us, just completed a horse track and will ship their vehicle afterwards to Africa. They're awesome! We met other couples being on the road their whole life. If you want to do it, just go for it. You can only regret the things you didn't do 😉

@@offthemainroadWell, next yesr when the trip begind I‘m 65. And yes, if you would like to help, how about fuel in Georgia? My Discovery likes only good diesel. Apart from that I woul like to Ushguli and Mestia. That is the current plan.

Hey! Thank you so much, happy to hear ♥ We started the walk from the hotel, there is a parking lot not far from the monument, but that was covered in 2 meters snow when we were there. In the summertime it will be open :)
