I had the honor to attend one of her concerts some time before she went to Heaven. She was awesome, brought the house down and gave us what we came for. Great music and a great time. RIP beautiful Lady.

This classic came out when I was 10 but because of listening to an oldies station as a teen ager, I heard it all the time. Any young girl who dated a young guy in the 60s surely could relate to this. While we adored the boys we went steady with, we wanted the option of seeing other cute guys, so many of us got our message across with this song..💖

At my high school talent show around 1973, three girls came on stage in long satin dresses and long gloves and lip-synced this song. It knocked my socks off. This song still gives me goosebumps every time. There's something elementally - dare I say it - profoundly expressive - in this song. Leslie Gore - you a Star forever!!!

Rest in peace forever little angel, God, with his mercy wil forgive you so that you can be in heaven singing this beautiful song. I am 76 years old, I heard this song for first time when I was 15 and I keep on listening it as it was yesterday, On that time I myself didn't imagine the beauty of your face, but now, that I've seen your angel face I am completely sure that God has already forgiven you and have you in heaven for ever. I will always love you Lesly and every time I listen this song and see your angel face, I say little pray for you.

This first great chart single of 1964 lost the race to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 to the Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand" on Feb. 1, '64 and had to settle for three weeks at #2. (On Chicago Top 40 powerhouse WLS at least it had one week at #1 ahead of the Beatles.) At the time when I got this (very early in the new year), I thought it was the more dynamic and important record (not even realizing that it was written by two of the three creators of Danny & the Juniors' rock 'n' roll classic "At the Hop" from six years earlier). I appreciate the stellar efforts of The Music Enhancement Channel to bring us this record and lovely Lesley Gore sounding as magnificent as they ever have.

That is a very interesting comment on these enhanced versions as being "contemporized mixes" which is a better description that I could come up with. That is exactly what they are. The audio being kicked up a notch with better stereo imaging without losing the original format! Kenn
