I saw this at the theater when I was in high school. When my boyfriend brought me home, we laid on the grass, looking up at the stars, trying figure out the what would happen if we could time travel. Good memory! I love your reactions!

Interesting story about the casting for this movie: the producers wanted Micheal J Fox to play Marty McFly from the beginning, but he was busy doing a TV show called Family Ties, they approached the producer of Family Ties for permission but he turned them down, so Eric Stoltz was hired, but after 6 weeks they decided he wasn't right for the part, and tried again to get Micheal J Fox. This time they got permission as long as they were willing to work around him and Micheal would agree to do both. He did so they had to re-shoot all the previous work. And Micheal ended up doing both jobs often working well into late nights with an early morning with Family Ties sometimes as much as 20 hours a day between the two. He had to have been exhausted. There's also a funny blooper going around, in that scene where Lorraine & Marty have the liquor bottle in the car, the bottle was supposed to have water in it, but the crew played a prank on Micheal and put actual liquor in it. His reaction was hilarious. 😂

I saw this movie on October 26, 1985, (a Saturday night) when I went to East Carolina University. I remember the date because of the time circuit board in the DeLorean said October 26, 1985. This movie was so good that I turned around after it was over and saw it again, never did that before. Even downtown Greenville NC in 1985 looked a lot like Hill Valley.

I really enjoy your reactions! I hope to see the sequels with you soon. A nearby restaurant in my city has a Delorean parked outside year round. It’s always fun to see it when passing by.

You will really enjoy the two sequels. Together, the three films work very well to tell a complete story.

The car is a DeLorean - and were available to buy in the 1980s. So it was funny that Doc turned a DeLorean into a Time Machine. I saw this in Hollywood opening night in a sold out theater. Everyone was laughing so it was hard to get everything so had to go see it again. And have watched it many times since.

Glad you enjoyed this! I don't particular like the second film of the series but you don't want to miss the third one! They go back in time to the 1800's.

Love these movies. The actor that plays Marty...his name is Michael J. Fox. Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 at the age of 29. This movie was made in 1985...so 6 years after this movie was made. The other sequels were completed by 1990, right before he got the diagnosis. He's 2 years older than I am.

Robert Zemeckis also made Welcome to Marwen, which went largely unnoticed… it’s based on the true story of a man and his unusual way of getting through a hate crime ❤ fantastic film

When you watch part 2, do not watch the end after it says "to be concluded," they spoil the third movie.

Wondering if they're watching the movie with subtitles or do they understand english?
@muldoone69206 күн бұрын
They spoke english a couple times before. Most of us just prefer them to speak the language they are comfortable in.

Please don't make them wait long to watch the sequels or they might forget what happened in this Part 1 of the trilogy.
